Annapolis Property Services, LLC strives to promote a welcoming, diverse and discrimination – and harassment – free workplace. This principal not only applies to the employees and vendors of the Company, but also to Owners and Tenants. To that end, it is unlawful, and against Company policy, to refuse to sell or rent, or otherwise make unavailable or deny, a dwelling to any person because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or source of income. This includes potential tenants that receive housing assistance.
To that end, it is Maryland law that all applicants shall be processed equally in accordance with Company qualification guidelines and in the order in which they are received.
In the event that an application is submitted by a voucher recipient, and the property is not currently approved by the relevant housing authority, the Company will provide the Owner with the information needed to register the property with the local housing authority in order to receive housing voucher tenants.
It will be the obligation of the Owner to process the application. Please take note, you are under a legal obligation to cooperate in the application process, and that failing to do so could be considered a violation of Maryland law.
Please keep in mind that receiving an application from an assistance tenant will not stop the application process. While you are working towards registering the property, the Company will continue to list and show the property to prospective tenants.
